Design rack-scale quantum computer infrastructure in Toronto using thermal management, mechanical packaging, and vibration-control expertise. Build systems for Xanadu’s photonic quantum computers.
As a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer on the Hardware Team, you will bridge facility-level infrastructure design with chassis-level mechanical packaging. You will model and size CDUs, PDUs, liquid manifolds, and fiber managers for rack-scale systems. The work includes owning subsystem modules, complex assemblies, and liquid cooling solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Model and size rack-scale infrastructure components
Design subsystem modules integrating directly into quantum computer racks
Develop thermal, hydraulic, mechanical, and vibration-control solutions
Own mechanical delivery for photonic quantum computer hardware
Bridge facility-level and chassis-level infrastructure design
Requirements: BSc or higher in mechanical engineering or related discipline
Five-plus years in data center thermal/mechanical systems engineering
Proficiency with thermal and hydraulic sizing
Experience with CFD/FEA thermal simulations
GD&T; and tolerance stack-up expertise for complex assemblies
Apply mechanical design, liquid cooling, and vibration-control expertise to Xanadu’s Toronto quantum computing hardware development.
