Strengthen family services with Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island through coaching, program leadership, and responsive operational support. The position may be based in Victoria, Nanaimo, or Campbell River.
As Assistant Director, Family Programs & Impact, you will support engaged teams delivering services to families with complex health needs. You will collaborate with the Director, House Managers, Program Navigators, referring professionals, and partners. The focus includes employee development, family concerns, incident response, privacy compliance, and consistent workplace practices.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and mentor House Managers and program staff
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development
Address family concerns and collaborate with referring professionals
Monitor feedback,



occupancy trends, incidents, and risk reviews
Promote safety, wellness, respect, inclusion, and policy compliance
Requirements: Five years of social service or health care management
Proven leadership, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Demonstrated judgement, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities
Regular travel and occasional evening or weekend availability
Bring people leadership, family-centred communication, and sound judgement to programs supporting children and families on Vancouver Island.
