This Manager, Financial Reporting role offers ownership of technical accounting within a privately held energy company. You will prepare technical accounting memos independently while managing IFRS reporting, acquisition-related reporting, and the year-end audit. Oil and gas experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the company's financial reporting function
Prepare and support IFRS financial statements
Independently research accounting issues and draft technical memos
Address reporting requirements related to acquisitions
Support completion of the year-end audit
Requirements: CPA designation and strong technical IFRS knowledge
Experience preparing financial reporting in oil and gas
Upstream exploration and production background preferred
Big Four training would be advantageous
Team-oriented, curious, and motivated working style
Bring technical accounting judgment, IFRS reporting capability, and CPA credentials to a Calgary energy organization pursuing continued growth.
