This senior position focuses on human, prop, and bipedal character animation, extending to quadrupeds when required. You will preserve actor performances while improving quality through non-destructive editing, motion blending, and detailed body adjustments. The role also includes mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities: Retarget motion independently between animation hierarchies
Refine captured performances non-destructively
Adjust character, prop, workplace, and terrain contacts
Add finger, toe, tail, posture, gesture, and weight animation
Blend clips into fluid, believable transitions
Requirements: Proven high-end film, VFX, or video game experience
MotionBuilder, Blender, Nuance, or Maya experience
Strong retargeting and blending knowledge
Understanding of animation principles and motion timing
Showreel and relevant degree or equivalent experience
