Rockport Commercial seeks a Safety Coordinator for internal multifamily apartment construction. This role supports in-house trade teams through hazard recognition, emergency response, PPE training, and safety orientations. You will also coordinate compliance activities involving WCB claims, documentation, incident investigations, and Manitoba regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct hands-on site inspections and lead safety talks
Train crews on hazards, emergencies, and proper PPE use
Monitor excavation, electrical, and other trade risks
Investigate accidents and near-misses, identifying corrective actions
Maintain records for COR and regulatory audits
Requirements: Construction safety coordination experience in multifamily or commercial projects
Familiarity with specialized electrical and excavation trade teams
Valid driver's license for company vehicle use
Safety designations such as NCSO are highly valued
Knowledge of Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health regulations
Support Rockport Commercial's internal construction teams through safety coordination, compliance oversight, inspections, and field-based coaching.
