The City of New Westminster is seeking a Recreation Leader for its busy seniors centre. You will support social, arts, cultural, wellness, and fitness programs, while helping deliver events and daily facility operations. The work combines participant service, volunteer coordination, registration support, and facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities: Provide customer service to older adult participants
Support registrations, rental inquiries, and front counter operations
Assist with recreational programs, activities, events, and rentals
Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and supervise volunteers




Set up spaces and maintain a safe facility environment
Requirements: Two-year recreation, leisure, gerontology, or related program completion or enrollment
Customer service, recreation leadership, or facility operations experience
Knowledge of recreation practices serving older adults
Ability to coordinate volunteers or staff effectively
Ability to pass and maintain a Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
