As a Senior Core Platform Engineer, you will shape IRC’s technical foundations and platform architecture. Your work spans REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven interfaces, and relational databases. You will help evolve an intelligent insurance operating system used by more than 500 venue groups.
Key Responsibilities: Build RESTful APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven interfaces
Own service boundaries, data modelling, API contracts, and foundational patterns
Establish backend standards for testing, errors, APIs, and service design
Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineer mentoring




Communicate pragmatic engineering trade-offs across platform decisions
Requirements: Six to ten years of backend software engineering experience
Deep production expertise with Node.js and TypeScript
Robust command of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven architecture
Solid relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL
Ability to own architecture and set technical direction
Bring platform engineering judgment, API expertise, and backend leadership to Instant Risk Coverage’s growing insurance technology foundation.
