Insight Global is seeking a senior engineering leader for a custom automation and capital equipment manufacturer. This hands-on position owns mechanical design execution, validation, risk assessments, and technical reviews. You will collaborate with customers, project managers, applications engineers, vendors, and cross-functional teams while mentoring junior engineers and supporting quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Develop mechanical designs for custom automation equipment
Complete engineering calculations and design validation
Conduct technical reviews and assess project risks
Support manufacturing processes and DFMA decisions
Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement
Requirements: Eight-plus years in mechanical engineering environments
Solid machine design and automation equipment background
Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM systems, and TotalETC
Experience managing multiple priorities independently
Bring senior mechanical engineering judgment, custom machine design capability, and DFMA knowledge to demanding automation projects.
