This Application Engineer role serves electric utilities, industrial automation, renewable energy, and critical infrastructure customers. You will guide application design, settings development, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support while collaborating with sales engineers and SEL technical teams. The position requires power system fundamentals, customer engagement, and practical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise during pre-sales and post-sales engagements
Manage customer technical requirements through commissioning and support
Deliver presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations




Build relationships with engineering and operations teams
Represent SEL at industry events and technical seminars
Requirements: Experience with power systems, protective relays, or control systems
Knowledge of substation automation and communications protocols
Commissioning, testing, or protective relay configuration experience
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of utility, industrial, or renewable energy markets
