General Manager – Transportation & Logistics

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 + Performance Bonus + Benefits

Are you an experienced transportation leader who understands both the operational and financial sides of running a trucking business?

We are seeking a hands‑on General Manager to lead transportation and logistics operations, manage a team, and drive improvements in efficiency, profitability, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10–20 employees across operations and related functions.

Oversee daily trucking, dispatch, fleet, driver, and logistics operations.

Improve fleet utilization, driver productivity, service levels, and operational efficiency.

Monitor operating costs, revenue, gross margins, and key performance indicators.

Work closely with Finance and senior management to review financial results, budgets, forecasts, and variances.





Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives to improve profitability and strengthen cash flow.

Establish performance targets and promote accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and transportation partners.

Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of progressive experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics.

Mandatory trucking industry experience with a strong understanding of dispatch, drivers, fleet, and transportation operations.

Proven experience leading a transportation or fleet operations team.

Strong business acumen and an understanding of how operational decisions affect profitability.

Experience monitoring operating expenses, budgets, margins, or other financial performance metrics.

Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

A hands‑on management style with the ability to balance daily operations and long‑term business objectives.
