This individual contributor role focuses on preventative maintenance for customer equipment under diverse conditions. Responsibilities include inspections, servicing, basic mechanical issue identification, repair recommendations, and paperwork. Customer focus, collaboration, and technical expertise support the work.
Key Responsibilities: Perform oil and filter changes on heavy equipment
Retrieve compartment oil samples for analysis
Report abnormal sample findings to customers
Complete preventative maintenance with limited supervision
Maintain timely service and good customer relations
Requirements: Class 3 driver’s license with air brake
Heavy equipment operating and servicing experience
At least one year of relevant experience
Ability to identify basic mechanical issues
Commitment to protected choices during all tasks
Apply heavy equipment maintenance expertise, filter analysis, and customer focus in SMS Equipment’s Calgary service work.
