Support YMCA BC children with safe transportation, individualized care, and respectful guidance at Prince George School Age Centres. This is casual work.
The Bus Driver reports to the Coordinator of Transportation and Administration and transports children from schools to YMCA after School Care Centres. This position combines driving responsibilities with nurturing supervision, conflict support, and collaboration around diverse needs. Hours and shifts may vary, with a start date as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities: Transport children safely from schools to YMCA centres
Maintain a nurturing setting throughout each journey
Provide individualized support within the program setting
Collaborate with team members supporting diverse child needs
Maintain enhanced staff-to-child ratios when appropriate
Requirements: Class 1 or 2 Driver’s License or willingness to obtain
At least 19 years of age
Emergency First Aid and CRC-C and AED
Provide three satisfactory references
Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector search required
Bring safe driving, child-focused support, and inclusive collaboration to YMCA BC transportation services in Prince George.
