Work outdoors across Sparwood as a Gas Meter Reader, combining extensive walking, driving, customer interaction, and accurate data collection.
This part time permanent position with Olameter requires no previous experience and includes paid classroom and field training. You will read gas meters for residential and commercial consumers, support accurate billing records, and inspect meters visually for defects. Day shifts run Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities: Read gas meters for residential consumers
Read gas meters for commercial consumers
Record consumption volume for accurate billing
Inspect meter condition and overall operation visually
Document visible meter defects or operating issues
Requirements: Work independently outdoors in various weather
Remain self motivated throughout daily field assignments
Use handheld technology for field data collection
Hold a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Complete training and pass written and field tests
Use careful meter reading, field observation, and customer interaction skills while serving Olameter assignments throughout Sparwood.
