Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Location: Bedford, NS
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
The Human Resources Assistant will support recruitment coordination, administrative tasks, and employee documentation. This role involves posting job ads, reviewing resumes, pre-screening candidates, completing reference checks, verifying safety and training certificates, and maintaining organized records.
This position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced office setting.
Responsibilities:
Post job ads and assist with recruitment coordination
Review applicant resumes and pre-screen candidates
Conduct reference checks as required
Verify safety and training certificates
Assist with assessing candidate competencies based on role requirements
Maintain organized employee, candidate, and recruitment records
Prepare recruiting updates and reports for the team
Act as a point of contact for candidates during the selection process
Maintain professional candidate communication throughout the recruitment process
Support HR best practices and internal recruitment procedures
Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous administrative, recruitment, or Human Resources experience considered an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Robust data entry and computer skills
Able to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualified, reliable, and team-oriented
Able to work independently and as part of a team
