The Recreation Assistant works within Grove Recreation and holds CUPE Local 2704 affiliation. Candidates need post-secondary education in recreation, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field. At least one year of health care experience is required, alongside leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities: Support recreation activities within the Grove Recreation department
Apply recreation and leisure studies knowledge in practice
Use communication skills when supporting recreation services
Demonstrate leadership during assigned recreation responsibilities
Organize tasks within the part time position
Requirements: Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field
