Support children with diverse needs as a Support and Inclusion Activity Leader in YMCA BC’s before and after school program. Lead inclusive activities while promoting safety and belonging.

This permanent, part time position supports children ages 5–12 during weekday before and after school hours. You will provide strengths-based support, contribute to individualized care plans, and implement behaviour support strategies. The role includes developmentally appropriate programming, active supervision, and relationship-building with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead indoor and outdoor activities
• Maintain active supervision and organized program spaces

Requirements:

• At least 19 years of age
• Experience supporting children with diverse needs
• Knowledge of inclusive and trauma-informed practices
• Emergency First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Twenty hours of child development, guidance, or nutrition training
