Support financial operations at Halifax Harbour Bridges with accounts payable and reconciliations in a full time, permanent office role. Help maintain reliable records supporting critical transportation infrastructure.
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Finance Assistant supports accounts payable, revenue and cash accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation. You will prepare journal entries, maintain capital asset records, assist budgeting, and support payroll administration. Accurate information supports organizational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Verify invoices, prepare payments, and answer vendor inquiries
Process revenue, cash, and financial transactions accurately
Prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations
Support month-end, year-end, reporting,



and audit preparation
Maintain capital asset records and depreciation schedules
Requirements: Accounting, Finance, or related diploma or certificate
Three to five years' accounting or finance operations experience
Experience with Accounts Payable and reconciliations preferred
Accounting software, ERP systems, and PayWorks experience
Strong organization, ethics, analysis, and reporting skills
Bring accounts payable, reconciliation, and reporting expertise to Halifax Harbour Bridges' Finance team supporting Nova Scotia transportation infrastructure.
