Operate municipal equipment during winter operations for the Town of Milton, supporting snow control, road patrol, and service-level requirements. Wide-ranging shifts are required.
This Seasonal Maintenance Operator works within Roads operations from November 2, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Responsibilities include operating equipment, maintaining infrastructure, following safety procedures, and responding to customer inquiries. The position follows a standard 40-hour work week, with days, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operational needs require.
Key Responsibilities: Operate equipment according to established operating guidelines
Plow, remove, sand, salt, and de-ice snow
Perform pre-use and post-use equipment audits




Use required personal protective equipment during duties
Communicate with staff and respond to customer inquiries
Requirements: Valid DZ licence and satisfactory driving record
Minimum one year of relevant experience required
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Ability to manage workloads in stressful situations
Apply equipment knowledge, winter operations experience, and sound communication to support safe, responsive municipal services.
