The Automation Specialist designs automated systems from application specifications and writes functional analyses. The work includes programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, cameras, and other automated equipment. It also supports performance testing, customer expectations, warranty service, and operator training.
Key Responsibilities: Design automated systems from application specifications
Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs
Conduct performance tests with 3D emulation tools
Commission automated equipment on site
Analyze equipment malfunctions and determine corrective actions
Requirements: Ability to write functional analyses
Ability to program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
Ability to program cameras and automated equipment
Ability to train operators during equipment start-up
Ability to support warranty-phase technical requirements
Apply automation programming and troubleshooting expertise to deliver operational systems meeting customer expectations through commissioning and support.
