Health Care Aides support client care at Phoenix Society through life-skills assistance, personal care, and accurate vital-sign recording. This position works under Licensed Practical Nurse direction.
The Health Care Aide assists clients according to established care plans, policies, standards, and procedures. The work includes trauma-informed care, mental health and addictions knowledge, and patient-centred communication. Responsibilities also span secure transfers, documentation, equipment cleaning, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities: Support clients with life skills and established care plans
Record vital signs and assist with nursing care
Provide hygiene, feeding, positioning, and specimen support




Monitor changes and report significant patient observations
Respond to alarms and support emergency procedures
Requirements: Grade 12 education
Resident Care Attendant Certificate and current BC Care Aid registration
One year recent related experience or equivalent qualifications
Current First Aid 1 and CPR certificate
Valid driver’s licence and required screenings
Bring client-care, communication, and safe patient-handling skills to Phoenix Society’s Health Care Aide team.
