This Switchperson/Locomotive Operator provides safe, productive rail car switching on customer sites. The work requires teamwork, initiative, organization, and customer service. Responsibilities include applying CROR Non-Main Track rules, completing inspections, and supporting site operations.
Key Responsibilities: Operate locomotives safely during customer-site rail switching
Conduct job briefings and protect trains, tracks, and equipment
Operate switches and derails; couple and uncouple rail cars
Inspect locomotives, brakes, and safety devices daily
Complete reports, logs, and required documentation
Requirements: Grade 12 or GED
Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
Ability to read safety and operating documentation
Physical ability to handle railcar equipment continuously
Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in all weather
Bring rail switching, locomotive operation, teamwork, and safety awareness to Cando’s Redwater operations while supporting customers and crews.
