Inspect municipal watermain and sewer projects across the Greater Toronto Region using construction observation, documentation, and quality oversight skills. This full time field role includes travel.
Stantec seeks a Construction Inspector for medium to large linear conveyance projects. You will apply technical skills, independent judgment, and critical decision-making while representing the Construction Manager onsite. The work requires understanding contract documents, project parties, public municipal construction, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect and document contractor construction activities daily
Prepare comprehensive reports with quantities, resources, photos, and video
Communicate conformance issues to contractors
Review submittals, RFIs, and quality control plans




Maintain as-built records and project punch lists
Requirements: Technical construction degree, diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience
Minimum five years supporting municipal linear water and wastewater projects
Ability to interpret contract documents and work package plans
Ability to discuss project issues with clients and contractors
Trenchless, P.Eng., CET, NASSCO, or CAD experience is an asset
Bring municipal conveyance inspection, contractor communication, and QA/QC documentation expertise to Stantec’s Toronto-area construction projects.
