Diagnose and repair Caterpillar heavy equipment at customer sites using Toromont Service trucks and Caterpillar testing equipment. This is a full time, permanent field position.
Toromont Cat seeks a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, to deliver timely repairs and product expertise directly in the field. You will apply mechanical diagnostic skills, maintain quality workmanship, and build trusted customer relationships through regular site visits. The role supports safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviours.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
Repair Caterpillar equipment within established field time standards
Maintain quality workmanship on heavy equipment repairs




Communicate with customers during regular onsite visits
Demonstrate secure and environmentally sound work behaviours
Requirements: Post-secondary education related to heavy equipment or diesel mechanics
Minimum three years repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
Valid driver's licence; DZ licence preferred
421A licence considered a valued asset
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Apply heavy equipment diagnostics, Caterpillar expertise, and customer service skills as a Toromont Cat field technician.
