Valard Construction seeks Journeyperson Powerline Technicians for unionized worksites in the Ferndale area. You will construct and maintain electrical power distribution systems while supporting protected crew operations. The work includes energized and de-energized activities, system switching, and underground installations.
Key Responsibilities: Install overhead and underground power distribution equipment
Maintain poles, towers, guy wires, and conductors
Perform energized conductor stringing, sagging, clipping, and dead-ending
Complete underground cable testing, terminations, and installations
Document safety forms,



inspections, procedures, and daily reports
Requirements: Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification, 434A, or Red Seal
Utility construction and direct power distribution experience
Experience with energized work, system switching, and underground installations
Class 4 Rubber Glove experience
Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract
