This contract full time position serves children aged 0 to 12 in group settings. Reporting to the Centre Supervisor, the RECE supports development under Ontario requirements and Family Day policies. The work includes curriculum planning, observation, assessment, and responsive programming.
Key Responsibilities: Implement HighScope® and Hanen Learning Language and Loving It™ programs
Plan programs reflecting children’s interests and diverse needs
Observe and assess children’s progress and behaviour
Support children experiencing difficulties and help manage feelings




Participate in special-needs assessment meetings and recommendations
Requirements: Early Childhood Education degree or diploma
Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Minimum two years of childcare experience preferred
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR, Level C
Availability for shifts between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Support inclusive early learning across York Region through curriculum planning, assessment, communication, and child-centred care.
