This Rehabilitation Assistant supports Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists within Oak Valley Health’s interprofessional healthcare teams. The work spans acute care, subacute rehabilitation, and community-based stroke rehabilitation services. You will implement treatment programs, support cognitive functioning, provide patient exercises, and maintain therapy equipment and spaces.
Key Responsibilities: Provide ADL training under Occupational Therapist supervision
Implement individual and group treatment programs
Design assistive devices improving ADL and cognitive functioning




Conduct exercise groups and apply in-scope modalities
Clean and maintain equipment and therapy spaces
Requirements: Canadian accredited OTA or PTA education program graduate
Sound knowledge or previous experience in rehabilitation assistant work
Previous seating experience considered an asset
Basic Life Support certification required
Self-direction, flexibility, and effective team-oriented communication
Use occupational therapy support, ADL training, assistive devices, and communication skills within Oak Valley Health’s rehabilitation teams.
