Forklift operation and shipment accuracy anchor this Shipping and Receiving position with AVL Manufacturing in Hamilton, Ontario. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
As a Receiver, you will verify incoming materials, record received goods, and prepare finished products for shipment. Daily work includes unloading inbound trucks, helping load outbound trucks, staging orders, and bringing materials to appropriate locations. You will use pallet jacks, forklifts, Raymond reach and counterbalance equipment, and warehouse management systems.
Key Responsibilities: Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and Raymond equipment
Bring products and materials to appropriate locations
Unload inbound trucks and assist outbound loading
Label received goods and coordinate material distribution
Record shipment issues and maintain warehouse system records
Requirements: Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and warehouse equipment
Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
Warehouse management system proficiency, including Visual or D365
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
Pickup truck material delivery as needed
Use forklift operation, shipment handling, and warehouse systems knowledge to support AVL Manufacturing's material flow.
