BDO is seeking an Insolvency Counsellor to assist clients with bankruptcies and proposals. The work includes BIA counselling, budgeting, credit rebuilding, file reviews, community outreach, business development, and presentations. You will help clients understand and meet duties under their insolvency filings.
Key Responsibilities: Assist debtors and creditors in person and virtually
Provide BIA counselling on budgeting and credit rebuilding
Review documents with clients for insolvency filing compliance
Deliver community outreach, business development, and presentations
Requirements: Complete CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling
Bring two or more years of relevant experience
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiently
Show attention to detail and robust organization
Apply insolvency counselling, client communication, and document review expertise within BDO’s Personal Debt Solutions team.
