As an RVT in the Emergency Intensive Care Unit, you will provide small-animal patient care alongside a collaborative veterinary team. Apply patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, pharmacology, clinical procedures, and technical diagnostics. The department supports 24/7 advanced emergency and specialty care for York Region.
Key Responsibilities: Perform physical assessments and monitor vital signs
Support emergency triage and intensive patient care
Monitor induction, maintenance, and post-operative recovery
Place catheters, collect samples, and run laboratory tests




Prepare surgical suites and assist with procedures
Requirements: Complete a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program
Hold eligibility for provincial registration
Demonstrate anesthesia, pharmacology, and clinical procedure knowledge
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
Safely handle and restrain animals appropriately
Bring compassionate patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency care skills to 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital’s ICU team.
