Lead electrical maintenance at UBC Student Housing with field safety expertise and skilled trades supervision. Support residential communities across electrical and life-safety systems.
As Electrical Supervisor, you report to the Trades Manager and oversee work quality, safety, scheduling, and compliance. You will organize crew assignments, maintain low- and high-voltage equipment, and support fire-protection systems. The position also serves as Electrical Field Safety Representative for SHCS buildings.
Key Responsibilities: Organize and allocate work for skilled trades crews
Supervise employees and help train workers and apprentices
Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems




Test fire-protection and life-safety systems against applicable codes
Respond to site issues, emergencies, and after-hours trouble calls
Requirements: Journeyperson-level B Ticket Electrician certification
Current Field Safety Representative certification
Valid British Columbia driver's licence
At least five years of related experience
Knowledge of electrical and safety codes, regulations, and standards
Apply electrical supervision, FSR certification, and maintenance expertise to protect UBC residential communities and their life-safety systems.
