As an Emergency Communications Operator with Windsor Fire & Rescue Services, you will process fire service responses to emergency and non-emergency calls. The work involves organizing information, supporting responding crews, maintaining incident records, and monitoring scenes. You will use Microsoft Office, communicate with agencies, and prioritize emergency responses.
Key Responsibilities: Answer and process emergency and non-emergency calls
Operate multi-line telephone systems during incidents
Relay accurate incident, access, route, and cross-street information




Maintain records and monitor emergency incidents
Perform clerical duties and augment training
Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Ministry equivalency
Microsoft Office operating knowledge, including Windows and Word
Minimum typing proficiency of 30 words per minute
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize emergency responses and handle callers
Support Windsor Fire & Rescue Services through emergency call processing, accurate information, incident monitoring, and dependable radio communication.
