Support accurate prescription dispensing as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician while delivering timely, pleasant service in a local Shoppers Drug Mart store.
This position assists with pharmacy technical functions, prescription preparation, and pharmacy services. You will support customers, maintain pharmacy operations, and follow Pharmacy Standards of Practice. The work includes prescription data entry, medication selection, third-party adjudication, documentation, and referrals to pharmacists for clinical inquiries or counseling.
Key Responsibilities: Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standards
Accurately dispense, package, label, and cash out prescriptions
Process third-party billing and manage related accounts
Enter prescription data and process refill requests
Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
Requirements: Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
Previous pharmacy experience preferred
