Our client in the downtown Ottawa area is seeking a Property Accountant to join their rapid-paced, growing organization on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Calculation of accruals, processing and recording of expenses and prepaids, review of amortization schedule
Reconciling bank and credit card accounts, resolving discrepancies, adjustments as needed
Posting of journal entries, working closely with the General Ledger, adjustments as needed
Assisting in the coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
Production of Financial Statements, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual results including Income Statements, P&L;, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Management
Preparing tax submissions
Assisting with financial reporting and analysis as needed,
working closely with Senior Management
Providing reporting as needed
Assisting with Month End & Year End reconciliations and closing
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related stream
4+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
Experience with Yardi software ideal
Exposure to Real Estate or Property Management industry is a strong asset
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly organized, strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
About the Job The salary for this opportunity ranges from $75,000 to $65,000 based on relevant previous experience.
