Support laboratory services at Northern Health as a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist working at Wrinch Memorial Hospital. Demonstrate technical competence across assigned laboratory sections.
This position performs laboratory test procedures under the general supervision of the Manager or designate. You will evaluate and verify results, prepare related reports, and apply quality control and safety practices. Practice areas include Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine, or Blood Banking. Rotating days are scheduled from 08:00 to 16:00, with shared evening, night, and weekend on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct tests using techniques appropriate to assigned sections
Evaluate laboratory findings and verify reported results




Prepare related laboratory reports for clinical services
Organize and prioritize changing workloads
Work independently and collaboratively with others
Requirements: Current registration in relevant fields of practice
CAMLPR pathway assessment or CSMLS certification
Recent related experience or equivalent education and training
Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety
Physical ability to carry out position duties
Bring precise testing, result verification, and team-oriented communication skills to Northern Health’s hospital laboratory services.
