STARS seeks an Emergency Communications Specialist, Level 2, for its Calgary base. You will support requests from first responders, dispatch professionals, and physicians. The work requires real-time information entry, protocol-based call handling, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities: Respond to critical care requests from emergency professionals
Follow established protocols for effective, productive call handling
Enter information accurately into multi-screen systems
Use CAD, mapping tools, telephones, and radios
Maintain information discretion and confidentiality
Requirements: Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner
Calm focus during high-consequence situations
Exceptional multitasking and attention to detail
Robust analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
