Support school-age children as an Educator at the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce, using age-appropriate activities and child development knowledge. This permanent full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours weekly.
The Educator works within the Child Care and Early Learning Act to create safe, stimulating, and nurturing environments. The position supports children and families while following YMCA policies, Ministry of Education regulations, and curriculum expectations. RECE and Non-RECE candidates are considered.
Key Responsibilities: Plan age-appropriate activities using Playing to Learn and A Place to Connect
Maintain clean, orderly, secure, and visually appealing environments
Observe, record, and communicate child development




Guide children’s behaviour and development
Administer medication according to requirements
Requirements: Minimum 18 years of age
Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certification
Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
ECE designation and registration for RECE applicants
Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act
Bring child development knowledge, curriculum experience, and a commitment to safety to the YMCA’s school-age programs.
