Job Description Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Data Engineering leader with strong GCP experience who is ready to continue growing as a people manager.

The ideal candidate has spent a meaningful portion of their career doing complex development/data engineering work and has only recently moved into leadership.

This person will lead a multidisciplinary technical team across Data Engineering, AI/ML, automation/RPA, visualization and IT, while helping establish stronger Agile practices and engineering ways of working.

Skills and Requirements 7+ years of overall Data Engineering / Software Engineering experience, with a strong focus on enterprise-scale data solutions 4–5+ years of hands-on GCP / Google Cloud experience, ideally designing and building cloud-native data platforms and solutions 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience, including building complex data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, integrations and data platforms Strong experience with data architecture, ingestion, transformation, orchestration, data quality and performance optimization Recent hands-on technical experience, ideally within the last 1–2 years, with the ability to review code, troubleshoot issues and make engineering/architecture decisions 1-2+ years of technical leadership or people leadership experience, leading Data Engineering, Software Engineering or similar technical teams Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including Git/version control, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, branching strategies and release management Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning,



backlog management and JIRA Experience translating complex business requirements into technical architecture and scalable engineering solutions Robust communication skills with the ability to work across Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Architecture, Product and business stakeholders Collaborative, humble and flexible leadership style with experience mentoring engineers, establishing technical standards and driving engineering best practices Automation experience - ideally with UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Automate AI / ML exposure, particularly integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise data platforms or workflows data modeling experience, including semantic layers, dimensional modeling and enterprise data models Experience with BI / visualization platforms and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics use cases Experience with data governance, security, access controls and data quality frameworks Experience building or integrating APIs, microservices and cloud-based system integrations We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
