Reporting to the Thrift Store Manager, the Thrift Store Associate is responsible for providing support to the volunteers and staff, establish donor relationships, and provide front-line customer service.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Sell product and support sales transactionsManage customer complaints and concerns in a professional mannerPerform opening and closing procedures including cash outGreet customers and provide assistance as neededRestock inventory and create product displaysClean and organize the store to ensure a welcoming environment to customersEngage volunteers to grow and develop the Thrift StoreDirecting and organizing volunteers to complete tasks as neededAbide by all Health and Safety protocols and procedures (ex. incident reports, near misses), and mandatory training courses (NVCI, safeTalk, First Aid)Other duties as may be assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSMinimum 2 years of experience in a retail sales or customer service role requiredSales or marketing experience is an assetStrong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsSkilled at conflict resolutionEmpathetic towards, and ability to communicate with, individuals facing mental health, addictions, chronic illness, homelessness,
