Position: Full-Time Custodian · Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, some evenings · Compensation: $25/hour plus benefits · Start: Immediately

Our modern Orthodox synagogue is seeking a dependable, community-minded Custodian to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, cares about the people they serve, and works well as part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

- Perform full cleaning of the building, including sanctuary, social hall, classrooms, offices, kitchen and washrooms
- Collect and remove garbage and recycling
- Wash dishes and kitchenware after services, Kiddush and events
- Monitor and restock cleaning, washroom and kitchen supplies

Full-time, Wednesday through Sunday, including some evenings. Hours may vary around the Jewish holiday calendar.

Qualifications

- Previous custodial, janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Reliable,



punctual and able to work independently
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods
- Respectful of Jewish customs; willingness to learn kosher kitchen practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and a courteous, service-oriented manner
- Availability Wednesday–Sunday, including some evenings
- References and a satisfactory background check required
