Server – Earls Restaurant + Bar

Position Summary

As a Server at Earls Restaurant + Bar, you are responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through genuine hospitality, product knowledge, and attentive service. Servers create a welcoming atmosphere, build meaningful connections with guests, and ensure every visit reflects Earls’ commitment to quality food, beverages, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

- Guest Experience: Provide warm, engaging, and attentive service while anticipating guest needs and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Food and Beverage Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, cocktails, wine, and other beverages to make informed recommendations.
- Order Management: Accurately enter orders, communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Sales and Recommendations: Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful menu recommendations, suggestive selling, and product knowledge.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and fellow servers to maintain smooth restaurant operations and consistent service standards.
- Allergy and Food Safety: Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergy protocols to protect guest health and safety.
- Restaurant Standards: Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service areas in accordance with Earls’ standards.




- Payments and Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately and follow all cash-handling and checkout procedures.
- Professionalism: Maintain a positive attitude, professional appearance, punctuality, and a strong commitment to hospitality.

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous serving experience is an asset; a willingness to learn and develop is essential.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- A genuine passion for food, beverages, and hospitality.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and carrying food and beverages.
- Valid ProServe certification in Alberta, as required.

Servers are expected to consistently deliver exceptional hospitality, maintain robust menu knowledge, contribute to a positive team culture, uphold restaurant standards, and support the overall success of the business through guest satisfaction and sales performance.

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
