Sales & Counter Associate
White Rose Floral Wholesale
White Rose is a growing floral wholesale business, open 7 days a week. We're hiring 4 Sales & Counter Associates to serve customers at the counter and keep the store and orders running smoothly. This is an active, on-your-feet role — not a sit-down cashier job.
What you'll do (in order of priority)
- Serve customers — greet customers, ring up sales, take payment, and suggest add-ons such as greenery, ribbon, extra stems, seasonal items and holiday pre-orders.
- Prepare orders — pull and prepare orders, check them against the order slip, label them, and set them aside for pickup or delivery.
- Keep the floor stocked — restock displays, rotate product so older stock sells first, and flag anything low or past its best.
- Keep the store clean — sweep, wipe counters, clear trimmings and packaging, and keep walkways and cooler areas tidy.
When there are no customers at the counter, you'll be working on order prep, restocking or cleaning.
What we're looking for
- Friendly and comfortable talking to customers and suggesting products
- Takes initiative — sees what needs doing without being told
- Comfortable handling cash, card payments and a point-of-sale system
- Organized and careful with order details
- Able to stand for long periods and lift boxes and buckets (up to about 20 kg)
- Retail, cashier or warehouse experience is an asset; flower knowledge is a bonus, not required
Schedule and pay
- Positions: 3
- Full-time and 1 part time available.
- Must be available some weekends and busier holiday periods (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas etc.)
- From $17.60 per hour
- Health and benefits becomes available with promotion
- Location: 140 Amber St, unit 9. Markham, ON.
