The Licensed Automotive Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs vehicles using sound mechanical knowledge and established service procedures. This hands-on role combines diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and assembly, with customer service that helps vehicle owners understand the work being performed.
Duties
- Diagnose vehicle concerns using schematics, inspection findings, and mechanical knowledge; explain recommended work clearly to customers.
- Perform automotive repair and maintenance using hand tools and power tools, following protected work practices.
- Complete component assembly and welding tasks as appropriate to the repair, and handle heavy lifting when needed.
- Document work performed and coordinate with colleagues to support accurate, timely service.

Qualifications
Required: Practical mechanical knowledge and the ability to use hand tools and power tools for automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly; comfort with schematics and safe heavy lifting; welding capability relevant to assigned work. Preferred: Mechanic experience, dealership experience, and customer service skills that support clear communication with vehicle owners and effective teamwork.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45.0 per week
