In this role, your core mission is growth: accelerating new student registrations, converting trial classes into long-term enrollments, driving student retention, and expanding our local community presence. You will manage the entire lifecycle of the family experience—from the first marketing touchpoint to high-stakes parent communications and ongoing retention programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Enrollment & Growth Strategy
- Lead Conversion & Sales Pipeline: Proactively manage inquiries, follow up on leads, and lead prospective families through consultations, trial assessments, and registrations to achieve aggressive enrollment targets.
- Trial Experience Management: Coordinate and oversee high-impact trial classes and open house events designed to showcase our robotics and coding pathways and secure immediate registrations.
- Outreach & Grassroots Marketing: Build and execute targeted marketing initiatives across Oakville, including school partnerships, parent council presentations, local community events, STEM fairs, and local business cross-promotions.
- Digital & Social Presence: Maintain and grow local social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) with compelling, authentic content featuring student accomplishments, classroom excitement, and competition milestones.
2. Student Retention & Family Success
- Retention Tracking: Monitor student progress, attendance trends, and re-enrollment cycles to proactively address disengagement before it leads to churn.
- Exceptional Customer Relations:
Act as the welcoming, trusted face of the centre, building strong relationships with students and parents to create a vibrant, sticky community.
- De-escalation & Issue Resolution: Handle sensitive parent concerns and challenging customer situations with composure, diplomacy, and solutions-oriented empathy.
- Parent Engagement: Regularly communicate curriculum roadmaps, competition opportunities, and learning milestones to keep parents invested in their child’s long-term STEM journey.
3. Centre Operations & Administration
- Daily Centre Oversight: Be at front-desk and operate, manage staff/instructor schedules, track classroom supplies and kit inventories, and ensure an organized, safe, and professional learning environment.
- CRM & Data Hygiene: Keep student accounts, schedules, billing inquiries, and lead statuses organized and up to date within the centre management system.
- Peak-Hours Leadership: Provide energetic in office leadership during peak operational hours, including after-school times and weekend sessions.
Qualifications
- Proven Sales & Growth Track Record: 3+ years of experience in sales, customer acquisition, retail management, or centre director roles—preferably within after-school learning, enrichment academies, sports leagues,
or early childhood education.
- Strong Closing & Communication Skills: Confident communicator who enjoys speaking with parents, understanding their child’s educational goals, and presenting program value.
- Customer De-escalation Skills: Demonstrated ability to remain poised, professional, and constructive when addressing difficult or demanding customer feedback.
- Community & Digital Marketing Fluency: Practical experience executing local marketing campaigns, flyer distribution, community event activations, and managing social media feeds.
