The Opportunity
We are hiring a Payroll Analyst to join our Calgary Office.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will help ensure employees in Canada and the U.S. are paid accurately and on time. You will process payroll, review records, answer employee questions and help meet payroll reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process biweekly Canadian and U.S. payroll using multiple ADP platforms.
- Enter and verify payroll data.
- Review completed payrolls and reports for accuracy.
- Complete year-end payroll tasks, including T4s and taxable benefit reporting.
- Ensure payroll tax payments are accurate and meet required deadlines.
- Follow company policies and applicable payroll, tax, minimum wage and overtime rules.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
- Prepare payroll documents and reports for management and auditors.
- Respond to payroll questions from employees and other departments.
Education and Experience
- At least three years of relevant payroll experience.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, completed or in progress.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and its reporting tools.
- Experience with payroll or timekeeping systems such as Kronos or SL is an asset.
- Ability to resolve payroll issues across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
