TLC Lung Diagnostics is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team and provide high-quality Pulmonary Function Testing and Sleep Services, including Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT).

Key Responsibilities

- Perform pulmonary function testing including spirometry, lung volumes, DLCO, bronchodilator testing, and methacholine challenge testing (MCT) as required.
- Perform testing according to established clinical guidelines, laboratory procedures, and quality assurance standards.
- Educate and prepare patients for pulmonary function and sleep testing.
- Set up, instruct patients on, and download Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) equipment.
- Review HSAT recordings for technical quality and completeness according to established procedures.
- Provide and document CPAP/APAP education, setup, and patient instruction as required.
- Assist with troubleshooting HSAT equipment and patient technical issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and communicate relevant findings to the appropriate physician.
- Participate in laboratory quality assurance, equipment maintenance, infection prevention, and safety procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of current standards and best practices in pulmonary function testing, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), HSAT, and PAP therapy.
- Work collaboratively with Respirologists,



Sleep Medical Director, RRTs, MOAs, and other TLC team members.

Qualifications

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
- Experience in a pulmonary function laboratory is preferred.
- Experience with HSAT and/or sleep services is an asset.
- Knowledge of obstructive sleep apnea, sleep-disordered breathing, HSAT procedures, and PAP therapy.
- Strong patient education, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient care, quality assurance, confidentiality, and skilled standards.
