We are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1A Driver to transport loads from Charlottetown to Nova Scotia. Drivers will operate a variety of trailers, including dump trailers, step deck trailers, and conventional trailers.

This position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to safely secure and tarp loads. All driving will be within Canada, with no cross-border travel required.

THE JOB

Transport scrap metal loads safely between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

Operate dump trailers, step deck trailers, and conventional trailers.

Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and required documentation.

*
Secure and tarp loads safely before transport.

*
Perform basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping.

*
Follow all applicable transportation regulations and workplace safety procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class 1A driver's licence.

*
Minimum of 3 years of Class 1A driving experience.

*
Must be 25 years of age or older due to insurance requirements.

Clean driver's abstract with no at-fault accidents.

Experience operating dump trailers and step deck trailers.

*
Physically capable of securing loads using straps and tarps.

*
Robust commitment to safe driving practices and equipment care.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
