Service Advisor / Counter Sales – Diesel Fuel Injection Repair

About the Role

We are a specialized diesel fuel injection repair business in Port Kells, Surrey, looking for a motivated Customer Service Rep / Service Writer to join our team. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers—handling inquiries, writing up incoming work, and processing completed jobs with accuracy and professionalism.

This hands-on role blends strong customer service and sales skills with growing automotive/diesel technical knowledge. You’ll work directly with retail, fleet, commercial, and owner-operator customers to ensure a positive experience while supporting the shop’s workflow.

Duties

- Greet customers and respond to inquiries by phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Write up accurate work orders using proper automotive and diesel technical vocabulary
- Assist with product/service selection, provide estimates, recommend repairs or parts, and upsell where appropriate
- Process sales transactions, invoices, and completed jobs accurately; handle customer pickups
- Communicate job status updates clearly
- Keep the customer service area organized and support shop records/workflow




- Gain knowledge of diesel fuel injection services and products through training and on-the-job experience

Requirements

- Robust customer service, sales, and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work accurately in a busy, fast-paced shop environment while paying close attention to detail
- Computer skills for shop management and invoicing systems
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Fluent English required

Preferred:

- Previous experience in automotive, industrial, or heavy-duty customer service, sales, parts counter, or service writing
- Familiarity with diesel engines or basic mechanical/automotive knowledge
- Solid technical vocabulary related to diesel or fuel injection systems
