Some of the guides responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Care of guest- dressing them properly for the conditions
- Care of the dogs- harnesses, booties, health
- Taking care of sleds and keeping gear in positive working order
- Helping feed the dogs
- Watering Dogs
- Cooking lunches on daytrips
- Explaining how to operate a sled team
- Driving the sled
- Repairing harnesses and sleds if need be
The guide is the person who is responsible for the well being of the dogs and the people. The guide is responsible to make sure all gear is properly taken care of to make sure it is in good working order.
The season runs from Nov 15 2026 to March 31 2027– maybe a bit into April. No exceptions. Commit to the season not just part of it.
Need to have first aid and class 4 license.
