About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building, equipment, and grounds maintenance throughout the care centre.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines technical expertise, team leadership, contractor management, budgeting, and long-term planning. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our residents, staff, and visitors enjoy a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment every day.

What You'll DoLeadership & Operations

- Lead and oversee all maintenance operations, including preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
- Supervise, coach, and support maintenance staff while fostering a positive, safety-focused team culture.
- Coordinate and manage external contractors, vendors, and service providers.




- Participate in on-call emergency response as required.

Building & Equipment Maintenance

- Perform and coordinate repairs involving:
- Plumbing
- Electrical systems
- HVAC equipment
- Carpentry
- Painting and finishing
- General building maintenance
- Ensure building systems are functioning efficiently and reliably.
- Monitor and maintain facility equipment, tools, and assets.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, fire safety standards, and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Support inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Planning & Asset Management

- Manage maintenance budgets, purchasing, inventory, and cost controls.
- Assist with capital projects, renovations, and long-term facility planning.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and preventative maintenance schedules.

What You BringRequired Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of building maintenance experience, with strong hands-on knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Carpentry
- Mechanical systems
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience managing contractors and service providers.
- Strong troubleshooting,



organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in urgent or emergency situations.
- Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance management software.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking.

Preferred Qualifications

- Trade certification, Power Engineering certification, construction-related training, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in healthcare, seniors housing, hospitality, or institutional facilities.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
