Nelson Homes, located in Lloydminster, Alberta, is seeking an RTM Homes Service & Warranty Contractor to provide service and warranty support for the Ready-to-Move (RTM) homes. This is a contract position. Applicants must operate their own company and hold Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) coverage in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The contractor is responsible for completing three service visits for each RTM home, as outlined below.

– Travel to the home following delivery to assess, document, and photograph any damage sustained during transport. Address any major damage immediately.

– Travel to the home to repair all transport-related damage and address any other deficiencies. This visit typically requires two to four days, depending on the extent of the damage. Overnight accommodation at a local hotel is expected when daily return travel is impractical.

– Travel to the home to complete repairs identified on the year-end deficiency list.

Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:

-Be personable, outgoing, self-motivated, dependable, and hardworking, with a strong commitment to customer service, high-quality workmanship,



and exceptional communication.

-Hold a valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract and provide their own tools. A service van will be supplied.

-Demonstrate the ability to perform the following repairs:

-Replace shingles, siding, soffit, fascia, and eavestroughs.

-Adjust windows and interior/exterior doors.

-Adjust cabinet doors.

-Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs, including the installation of light fixtures and taps.

-Complete drywall touch-ups, including repairs to nail pops and cracks.

-Complete paint touch-ups.

-Repair all types of flooring.

-Uphold Nelson Homes’ high standards of quality and professionalism.

-Experience with Buildertrend is an asset.
